I quite watching the orgies of self congratulation and narcissism that mark the award shows from Hollywood and the music industry, and I don’t miss the political harangues from gated community, limousine chauffeured, fools who spend their lives pretending to be someone else. I do however remind myself that when Jesus in the Gospels goes after the religious leaders of the day and calls them “hypocrites” the word really means “actor”. Enough said.
