From Isaiah 46 we read –
3 ‘Hearken to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from your birth, carried from the womb; 4 even to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.'”
The God who carried us from the womb and still carries and supports us even to our white hairs sent His Son to be the “sin bearer”. He carried the whole load for us and the whole world. This is the one of whom John the Baptist said, “behold the lamb of God that carries away the sins of the whole world”.
This one says we should take His easy yoke and find rest. Whatever we carry being yoked to Him we can trust that he will be carrying it and us too.
