Rob and Bernie Lutz at a Coptic church in Egypt

Whe I first came to Grafton one of our members moved to Moorehead Minn, and I remember that they talked about a Pastor  named Bernie Lutz.  Over the years I heard more and more about the Lutz’s and finally got to know Rob pretty well.  Rob has a heart for teaching and for missions that is quite remarkable.  I believe that Rob taught at Grace Lutheran School in Fargo for a few years and now he is at Our Saviors in Crookston.  This is his description ……

Raised on the mission field in Papua New Guinea. Graduate of Concordia, St. Paul. I am married, blessed with 5 children and 4 grandchildren. I have been a Parochial school teacher for 28 years. Currently serve at Our Savior’s Lutheran school in Crookston, MN as the 5-6-7 grade teacher. I have been involved with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sudan-South Sudan (ELCS-SS) since 2008 when I began serving as a teacher at the new seminary in Yambio, South Sudan for six weeks during the Summer. Teach classes in English and Teaching. Also am involved in teaching the Liturgy and Hymns to the students and leading pericopes for the pastors and sem students. I love overseas mission work!  The picture is my dad, Bernie, and I at a Coptic church in Cairo, Egypt. He is my inspiration and model to serve in missions. We  were the first teachers at the sem in Yambio.
