Not long ago we got into the interesting question as to if there are Gnostic tendencies in Away in a Manger. If you have an afternoon to waste you might want to look into that. I have two versions of the song. the first one is my own setting for the song based on a simple piano riff. The second is a country western style with a guitar riff that I believe I might have ripped off from and old Andy Griffith show rendition from many years ago.
