The LCMS Youth gathering is at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis this week and I am sure a good time will be had by all. I have attended Youth Gatherings in Denver where we were caught in a tremendous thunderstorm at Red Rocks amphitheater and it became a national news story. I attended one in San Antonio and remember it being really hot. They were exhausting events for the adult leaders but I think the young people enjoyed them and learned a lot. We pray for these folks this week. There were rumors that there might be protests but I haven’t heard anymore about that.
“Real Present God” is the theme. There are mass gatherings, breakout centers and discovery areas and there are also many service/mercy events. If my memory serves, I believe it was at San Antonio that we built a house.
