I’m in Minneapolis for a wedding. Someone at dinner last night mentioned the fact that they had read for the first time portions of the Song of Songs or the Song of Solomon in the Old Testament. Two of my favorite Bible verses are in Song of Solomon.
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.
But my favorite of all –
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.
