I get the feeling although I am not sure what the sentiment was that brought this about.  There are times when I want to cover my eyes and avert my gaze and maybe even run away.  There are different things that we should cover our eyes from and one of those things is whatever makes us judgmental over and against our neighbors.   It isn’t a question of “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” but a cool recognition of the fact that God sees all and God is judge and God in his great mercy has covered our sins with the blood of His Son so that He doesn’t see them.  How dare I stand in judgment on my neighbor?

“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13).  The account I will have to give is Christ’s account, credited to me as my righteousness.  I don’t hide my eyes from sin, but I cover my neighbors fault the best I can, and put the best construction on everything.
