Kay Kreklau the President of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is over in the Philippines looking at the work being done there by our partner church and the work done by mission grants.  She is spending time at the Seminary which is in Baguio, North of Manila on the island of Luzon.

Kay writes that

“there are 19 students right now. I think 5 are seniors. This is a 5 year program – they have a 2 year vicarage. The two year vicarage is split in two terms – one in a rural congregation and one in an urban congregation. (Smart!!) I spent time with one of the senior students today. He is 22 and single. He has wanted to be a pastor all his life. He wants to serve in the rural areas. The cost is 10,000 Pesos a year and 2000 Pesos a month for accommodations.”

In case you are wondering 2000 pesos is about $45.

Remember Kay in prayer as she travels.
