It seems like a life time ago. When Project 24 started one of the few guidelines laid down was that a boarding center be near a school and a church. At Cheparia – Udom, we received a request to built a center where there was only a school. Why? Because the belief of the folks there was that if they had a center by the school they could start a church. I have been there on at least 2 occasions and the church was basically huge with four walls and nothing else the first time. The second time there were girders for the roof off to the side. Finally the church seems to be pretty close to complete.
Here back home we want things done yesterday. It doesn’t work that way everywhere. Our linear time understanding doesn’t always translate. Thank God that Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever.
