Freely Sowing, Serving, and Sharing” was the theme for the English District of the LWML back in April. The theme comes from Galatians 5:13, “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” The LWML for years has been a service organization that has at its center the support of missionaries.
Many years ago Wayne Saffen wrote in Concordia Theological Journal that “freedom is not something you find or achieve. It is a release, a new birth, a gift, a calling.
