Grieving in New town Connecticut

“We are in mourning with the people of New Town CT. It appears among all the carnage is the death of a dear 2nd grade girl who has been a member of Christ the King Lutheran. We live in very evil days. Lord have mercy upon us. This dear little girl and her family recently joined the church. Pastor Morris has been with the family. District President Yeadon is on site. Your prayers are coveted.”
That is from our President Matthew Harrison.  We are about connections.  District President Yeadon was on the first trip to Kenya with me back in 2003.  He has been very supportive of projects there and of Project 24.
This is the time of year when we think of the murder of innocents, the children that murderous Herod had killed when the wise men came.  The death of the innocents is celebrated the day after Christmas if celebration is the right word.  Remember all of these people in prayer.  Their grief is beyond bearing without God’s mercy.
