We started this blog to show the connection that we have in Minnesota North and North Dakota as we joined together to build Project 24 rescue centers in Kenya.  Over the years the connections we have covered are pretty extensive.   Here is one that is kind of sad.

On Saturday there was a marvelous conference in Minot called rethinking Mercy.  It was well done and very informative and one of the important mercy exhibitors there was Eddie who represented the comfort dogs.  They are an organization that sends the comfort dogs to places that have suffered some kind of trauma.  They are magnificent animals and they carry this peace and calmness about them wherever they go.  Eddie wandered around the conference and even sat in the chapel for the Bible study and a presentation by John Fale the director of the Office of International Missions for the LCMS.  He had a busy week end.

Meanwhile in Thief River Falls Minnesota a seven year old boy died.  Eddie traveled from Minot to St. John’s Lutheran Church and visited with the children in the school there who had lost a classmate.  We mourn with the family and the congregation and the school and offer our prayers for God comfort and grace in this time of trial.  We also thank God for the creatures of this world who simply by there existence show God’s glory.  Keep up the good work Eddie.
