Ardis Horn was a part of a long list of folks that were part of our 6 Degrees of Separation series.  Here is a link to that blog so you can read about the Drevlow’s and Schultze’s and the Berglin’s. Click here to find it and read more. Ardis was a great champion of mercy and mission work and a tireless worker in the church.  She was an LWML fixture and will be greatly missed.

Ardis Delia Horn, 94, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 30, 2019. She was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1925 to William K. and Bertha (Ramstad) Horn at home in Pleasant View Township northeast of Ada, Minnesota. Ardis was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Green Meadow Township, where she was still a member at the time of her death.

Ardis filled her retirement years with volunteering well into her 80’s. Among her many volunteer interests, she was active in her church, LWML, the Norman County Historical and Genealogy Society, Ada Senior Citizens, and delivered Meals on Wheels for several years. She was a member of the teacher’s group, Delta Kappa Gamma.

An avid reader and life-long learner, Ardis enjoyed many trips to other parts of the country and world, including California, Hawaii, and Arizona. She visited Bethlehem and traveled with her sisters to meet her Ramstad relatives at the family’s ancestral home in Skjak, Norway.
